The dredge, owned by the Dunbar & Sullivan Dredging Company, can be seen near the center of the photo and is working on the construction of the Pinney Dock - New Slip #1 in Ashtabula, Ohio. Clamshell bucket cranes are working on a fill areas to the left and right. A short dock and two small motorboats are visible in the foreground. Handwritten blue ink text on the verso reads "PC 214, Pinney Dock - Slip No. 1, Ashtabula, Ohio, 10/10/73."
