Educators Professional Development Retreat Series

Lakeside park with green lawns, a flagpole, an anchor sculpture, and a blue building under a partly cloudy sky.

Educators can earn 4 to 12 SCECHs or MiRegistry Credits during a unique learning experience designed to inspire, renew, and strengthen instructional practices. Please join us in a relaxing environment on the Detroit River where collaboration and reflection will prepare you for a new constructive and productive school year. This retreat-style series will offer educators a welcoming space to engage in meaningful conversation about pedagogy, student engagement, and innovative teaching practices. We hope you will join us for a fun and enriching experience to start the 2026–2027 school year with your wellbeing in mind.

Experienced teachers and leaders from the Michigan Department of Education, Wayne RESA, and National Heritage Academies will facilitate a series of learning opportunities designed to improve teaching practices and enhance student learning outcomes in a serene atmosphere on the Detroit River.
