The dredge, owned by the Dunbar & Sullivan Dredging Company, can be seen near the center of the photo and is working on the construction of the Pinney Dock - New Slip #1 in Ashtabula, Ohio. Two barges and a tugboat are located beside the dredge. At the left side of the photo, a clamshell bucket crane is working on a fill area. A construction office trailer and parked cars are visible in the foreground. Long rip rap breakwaters and three lighthouses can be seen at the harbor entrance in the far background.
