Thimble
Thimble: metal; small; square opening at tip; dimpled surface extends two thirds down its height; a small decorative pattern band is engraved just about the flare at its base; recovered from wreck of the schooner ALVIN CLARK, which foundered in Lake Michigan in 1864.
