Preservation Detroit

Preservation Detroit is Detroit’s oldest and largest architectural preservation organization and has been working to honor Detroit’s rich architectural heritage since 1975. Over the last three decades, the scope of Preservation Detroit has grown to encompass the entire city, from historic homes to skyscrapers to sites of cultural significance.

Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm

The Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm interprets, preserves and collects the history of the greater Rochester area for present and future generations. It also operates historic buildings in the old Stoney Creek Village, which include two historic houses, a darn barn and a one room schoolhouse.

Romulus Historic Park

The Romulus Historical Park is set in the center of downtown on Hunt Street and demonstrates the community's commitment to blending the old with the new.

This charming district includes a historical museum located in the town's original schoolhouse, restored Kingsley House, 1923 Monitor Windmill, Wabash Freight building, and caboose, as well as a spacious park, gazebo, and pavilion available to reserve for private parties and events.

Roseville Historical And Genealogical Society

 

The RHGS offers programs every third Tuesday in the Roseville Library's Erin Auditorium every month throughout the year (except for July, August and December). Our speakers provide entertaining and informative presentations on local history and genealogy. RHGS activities include the Erin Township Records, Historic House Marker and the Oral History projects.

Ukrainian American Archives & Museum of Detroit

The purpose of the Museum shall be to educate and inform the general public about the culture, art, and history of Ukrainians, their immigration to the United States and the contributions of Americans of Ukrainian descent to America; to engage in research in these areas; to maintain archives for the deposit of documents and other records relating to these topics; to acquire, preserve, exhibit artifacts of artistic, historical, and scientific value relating to these subjects; to sponsor public programs in order to study and preserve the heritage of Ukrainian Americans.

Waterford Historical Society & Waterford Historic Village

Dedicated to collecting, protecting, and preserving the history of Waterford for the interest and education of present and future generations. We have a research library and many artifacts and displays for community interest. 

Waterford Historic Village is our interpretation of Waterford's place in history. Some of our buildings are original, some are exact replicas and some are representations of what the buildings would have looked like in the early 1900's as progress and prosperity brought Waterford successfully into the next century.

Wayne Historical Society & Museum

The Wayne Historical Society was founded in 1956 to promote, collect and preserve the history of the city of Wayne, Michigan. The society works in partnership with the City of Wayne to run the Wayne Historical Museum, a free, volunteer-run city history museum and archive.
