Black and white aerial photograph cut from a proof sheet taken of downtown from a point roughly above I-75 facing southeast along Woodward Avenue. Grand Circus Park is near the center of the frame. The Fox Theatre, the David Whitney Building, David Broderick Tower, the Kales Building, Grand Park Centre, the Fyfe Building, the Statler Hotel, Book Tower, Hudson's, Cadillac Tower, the David Stott Building, the First Federal Building, the Penobscot, and the Guardian Building are all pictured. The wing of the photographer's plane is captured at the top left corner of the image. "City of Detroit, Report & Information, 72101, Photographic," was stamped on the verso of the proof sheet, however the final digit was hand-corrected to "2."
