Cass Avenue, Clifford Street, Park Avenue, Woodward Avenue, Witherell Street, and John R Street run diagonally through the photo. The top of the David Broderick Tower, the Fyfe Building, the Fine Arts Building, the Kales Building, Central United Methodist Church, the Palms Theatre, the Fox Theatre, the Wolverine Hotel, the YMCA, St. John's Episcopal Church, I-75, and the Donovan Building are all in view. Part of the photographer's plane is captured along the bottom of the image. "City of Detroit, Report & Information, 72101, Photographic," was stamped on the verso of the proof sheet, however the final digit was hand-corrected to "2."
