Black and white photograph (and 2 copies) of the crane which was used to disinter the casket of the first Governor of Michigan, Stevens T. Mason, in Capitol Park, Detroit, on June 1, 1955. Several onlookers are visible in the foreground with downtown buildings visible in the background. The signs of several businesses can be seen in the right background including Surety Savings, Friedberg's Diamonds, and Atlas Furs. The casket was reburied at a new location in Capitol Park on December 5, 1955.
