Color 35mm slide containing a photographic image of boats gathered on the Detroit River during the 1983 Detroit Grand Prix as taken from the roof of the Veterans Memorial Building. A cluster of small craft are gathered near the Detroit shore as an upbound freighter passes in the background. A blimp is in flight near the top of the frame. The edge of the Renaissance Center is at the left edge of frame. Crowds are visible along the riverfront below.

The slide has a Kodachrome frame, stamped with "Jun 83F2," along with the slide number "1."
