Color 127 format slide of a photo taken during the unrest of 1967 by Detroit Fire Department photographer Capt. Joseph A. Mancinelli. The image shows a group of uniformed police officers, holding rifles and wearing riot helmets, standing across the center of Clairmont Avenue, as taken from the southwest with the 12th Street intersection in the background. A cloud of smoke, several fire trucks, and a crowd of people are visible in the distance at the intersection. Signs for City Health Fumigating, Nel's Lounge, and the Detroit Bank and Trust are visible along Clairmont.

The slide is housed in a Kodacolor cardboard mount, stamped with "MAR 68R."
