Transparency, Slide

Color 127 format slide of a photo taken during the unrest of 1967 by Detroit Fire Department photographer Capt. Joseph A. Mancinelli. The image shows two uniformed police officers standing in front of a group of Detroit Fire Department fire trucks in the intersection of 12th Street and Taylor Street, as taken from the northeast. Both officers wear riot helmets. The officer on the right wears a vest with tear gas grenades in its pouches. The officer on the left holds a rifle. The roof of the Double Value Meat Center is visible in the background on the right.

The slide is housed in a Kodacolor cardboard mount, stamped with "MAR 68R."
