Black and white photographic print of a view of the post cards from the Wolverine Post Card Club which were featured in the Collector's Corner Exhibit, titled, "…That This Nation Might Live," displayed inside the Detroit Historical Museum, March 1965. The post cards feature images of some of the battles and battlefields from the Civil War. Signage affixed to the upper left side of the display reads, "1 - Falling Waters, West Virginia - July 2, 1861 - Federal troops, under Major General Robert Patterson, pushed southward across the Potomac and met the Confederates there, forcing them to retreat to Darkesville, West Virginia; 2 - Rebel Army in Knoxville, Maryland - Prior to the Battle of Antietam, September 1862, General Lee's Confederate Army invaded the North for the first time; 3 - First Raid on Romney, West Virginia - Made by Federal Troops commanded by Col. Lee Wallace, the author of Ben Hur; 4 - Fall of Richmond, Virginia - On the night of April 2, 1865; 5 - Emergency Hospital - During the battle behind the lines at Gettysburg; 6 - Battle of Winchester - September 19, 1864 - Made famous by 'Sheridan's Ride' in which that great General turned defeat into victory; 7 - Snodgrass Hill - In the Battle of Chickamauga, Georgia - September 20, 1863; 8 - Battle of the First Manassas (Bull Run) - Opening field battle of the war and here, a year later, a confederate victory led to Lee's first invasion of the North; 9 - Battle of Paris - March 11, 1862; 10 - Monitor and Merrimac - First battle of ironclad warships, Hampton Roads, Virginia . The battle lasted four hours and ended in a draw."
