Black and white photographic print of a diorama depicting Angelique Beaubien dancing with James Sterling, during Pontiac's Rebellion. Signage affixed to the rear of the diorama reads, "There is no record of Angelique's feelings toward the British, however, she was in love with (and eventually did marry) James Sterling, a British Civilian Trader. In an effort to keep Sterling out of trouble Angelique advised him, 'Do not be in the Fort Saturday morning.' Having a ball was Detroit's favorite form of social activity at that time and it is presumably there that James learned of the plot." The diorama was created by Mr. Bartlett Frost and displayed at the Detroit Historical Museum. The date is stamped on the verso, "Dec. 11, 1962."
