Photograph. Black and white photo showing West Jefferson Avenue in River Rouge at night. The nighttime view looks southwestward along West Jefferson near the intersection of Florence Street and shows moving and parked cars, sidewalks, street lights, and storefronts. New light poles have been installed along both sides of Jefferson Avenue and the new angled top fixture directs more light onto the roadway than the older fixtures. The old light poles can still be seen alongside the new poles, but the old fixtures are not lighted in this photo. Business names that are visible include: River Rouge Auto Wash and Angel's Poultry. The number, "78649-34," is written in the lower right corner of the photo.
