Photograph. Black and white photo showing a speaker and attendees at the "Partners in Progress" dedication ceremony for the two recently completed power interconnections between the Detroit Edison Company and Ontario Hydro. One interconnection was made across the Detroit River between the Detroit Edison Delray electric power plant and the Ontario Hydro J. C. Keith Generating Station in Windsor, Ontario. The other interconnection was made across the St. Clair River between the Detroit Edison Marysville electric power plant and Ontario Hydro transmission lines located just south of Sarnia, Ontario. The ceremony was held on December 18, 1953, at the Marysville power plant. The man at the far left (removing his hat) might be Leslie Frost, Premier of Ontario. The man near the left center area of the photo (holding hat) is Walker L. Cisler, President of the Detroit Edison Company. The priest or minister who is standing at the lectern is not identified. Ceremony attendees and an American flag can be seen in the background.
