Pedestrians populate the sidewalk, as well as the thoroughfare which also includes a streetcar and automobiles. National Millinery, National Shoe, and Kern's Department Store are visible in the right foreground. Crowley Milner's is visible in the right background, and the Broderick Tower is visible in the left background further down Woodward Avenue. The name of the photography studio, geographic location, and photographic sequence number are printed on the bottom of the recto, "Manning Bros. Detroit, 121092." The date is hand-written on the verso, "1935."
