Print. Black and white photographic print of the construction of an addition to The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store on the corner of Gratiot Avenue, and Farmer Street. The new structure boasts sixteen floors, and a large ornamented cornice. Windows have been installed in two-thirds of the structure, and construction workers are visible working on the structure's interior. The structure neighbors the Newcomb-Endicott Company. A series of automobiles are parked against the curb on Farmer Street. The name of the photography studio and the geographic location are embossed on the recto, "Manning Bros., Detroit."
