Small sepia-toned photographic print, with the handwritten caption on the verso "Picture taken from the 39th floor of the Barlum Tower, of Wayne County Bldg." with the stamp "Jul 20 1934." The Wayne County Building is captured from a high vantage point. The shadow of the Barlum Tower is cast over its entrance. Beyond the Wayne County Building's dome, the vista continues to the south east, including stretches of East Congress Street, East Larned Street, and Jefferson Avenue. The Detroit River, and Belle Isle are in the distance background. The second copy is darker, sacrificing detail on the Wayne County Building, in exchange for starker contrast in the distance.
