Print, Photographic

Black and white photographic print depicting a man operating a milling machine in the Lynch Road Plymouth Plant. The equipment is labeled "Fitchburg".
Caption reads: New Milling Machine for Exhaust Manifolds. All the faces of the exhaust manifold for all six cylinders of the Plymouth engine are machines at once by this ponderous device, recently installed at the Plymouth factory. Thus all manifold pads are exactly alike, assuring perfectly tight fit as they go against the block. Special design includes duplicate mountings on a revolving table, so the cutters can be working on one manifold while the operator unloads and loads another.
