Black and white aerial photo of the Pioneer Steamship Company freighter CHARLES L. HUTCHINSON on the Saginaw River in front of the Defoe Shipbuilding Company in Bay City. A freighter hull, presumably that of the Great Lakes Steamship Company's RICHARD M. MARSHALL, is under construction on the shore. A handwritten note on the verso indicates that the photo was used in an article entitled, "Birthday in Bay County," in the June 1957 issue of "Motor News." The verso also bears stamps from both the Bay City Times, and Motor News.
