Black and white photo of the Old Presque Isle Lighthouse, as viewed from the southwest. The corner of the rebuilt keeper's house stands in the foreground. A chadburn, a large dock cleat, and a Fresnel lens, and a ship's bell are among the objects on display on the house's porch. Another bell is visible beyond the lighthouse within a small roofed stand. Lake Huron extends into the background. "The old Presque Isle lighthouse built in 1840, is one of the oldest surviving lighthouses on the Great Lakes. The keeper's cottage is a museum. The lighthouse was used to warn lake travelers of perils along the rocky Lake Huron shore. A bronze bell off the old Lansing City Hall welcomes visitors." was typewritten on a caption previously taped to the verso. "Beverly Clark R2 Box 345C Edwardsburg, MI 49112," is handwritten on the verso.
