Black and white photographic print of the Woodward Avenue entrance of the Detroit Historical Museum; which adjoins a plaza at the corner of Woodward and Kirby Street. Typed on the verso, "MAIN ENTRANCE to the Detroit Historical Museum is dominated by three towering flagstaffs which fly the flags of the United States, Great Britain and France, each of which at some time has been the official flag of the city. The museum, opened in 1951, is expecting its four millionth visitor." Also, handwritten on the verso, "Used in M. News, Nov. 1964, p. 12."
