Print, Photographic

Black and white photographic print of an aerial view of the model trains exhibit displayed inside the Detroit Historical Museum. The view depicts several buildings including a church, school, general store, foliage, and locomotives with cars on the tracks in the background. Typed on the verso, "YOUR HOME TOWN? Probably not but it is the kind of home town that stirs nostalgia in the minds of many older citizens. This is a scale model of portion of the railroad systems which occupies a major segment of the second floor of the Min Museum. Here is the sleeping village, calm and serene as progress, represented by the railroad trains, fixes indelibly a glimpse of the past." Also, hand written on the verso, "Used in M. News Nov. 1964, p. 13.; 116166, 4-30-57."
