Black and white panoramic photograph of a group of children posing along an incomplete stretch of Chesapeake and Ohio Railway tracks south of the intersection of Fullerton Street and Memorial Street, taken facing north. Several children lift one of the railroad ties on end. A row of single level brick homes along Memorial Street stand in the background. "Memorial and Fullerton sit downers prevent crew from constructing spur RR line which violates zoning ordinance," and "protest railroad in front of their home (in background)" are handwritten on the verso. Several stamps dated April 18th and 19th, 1953, as well as a stamped Detroit News form crediting the photo to Sudnik and the report to Finlayson are also on the verso.
