Transportation strike denudes city of street cars. This mid-afternoon scene along Woodward Ave., Detroit's busiest thoroughfare, shows the results of a strike by Detroit Street Railway employees April 21. Only a small number of private cars and taxicabs can be seen on the avenue, usually crowded with street cars and buses.
