Sepia-toned photo of Engine No. 3 fire truck and its company of firemen in front of the fire station. Eleven men are shown in the photo although only nine are dressed in a fireman's uniform. Handwriting on the verso notes "Lieut. J. Ockenfels, J. Sullivan, A. Ganger, driver W. Iseral, J. Gurray, Capt. O. Seibert, A. Gearns, watchman W. Knotwell, maker J.P. Ahrens, A. Neuenschwander." On the same verso note is the name, "Fred G. Wright, 322 Fort St. W., Home Phone, City 4503, Detroit, Mich.," who probably was the person that wrote the name list of the company firemen. Another note on the verso, in different handwriting, indicates "c.1913; Engine 3, Clifford & Griswold; 1912 Ahrens-Fox Piston Pumper."
