Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display at Crowley's Department Store. A kitchen is displayed in the window with various appliances including stove and icebox. A female mannequin is displayed with her back to the window, working diligently at the counter; a male mannequin is seen at the counter reading the morning paper. Signage for, "Westinghouse," is visible across the back wall. Also an advertisement for the appliances in the right foreground reads, "Wonders At Work, Westinghouse Kitchen Equipment, Your Silent Servers That Stand Ready To Make Your Household Tasks Easier, Electrical Appliances, Second Floor." Signage in the left foreground advertises for the steel tile floor, it reads, "Crowley's The Steel Tile, Used in this window was installed by the Basement Rug Department, Rust-proof, Fade-Proof, Durable Colors, to Brighten Your Room, Come in for a free Estimate." Printed on the bottom edge of the recto are the store name, slogan, location, photograph sequence number, and photographer, "Crowley's, 'The Friendly Store,' Detroit (26) Michigan, 22840-2X, Davis B. Hillmer."
