Black and white street view photograph from a glass plate negative that shows the east side of Griswold Street just north of State Street. The side of a building and rear passenger tire of an automobile are visible in the left foreground. Pedestrians can be seen crossing the street, walking along the sidewalk, and in front of the adjacent buildings. Automobiles are parked in front of the Chamber of Commerce Building at the right side of the image and signs for Baumgartner's Fashion Shop are visible above the awnings on the ground floor. Also, construction is taking place on the Miles Theatre, located to the left of the Chamber of Commerce Building. Other commercial businesses are visible in the left background. Written on the verso, "Miles Theater, 1220-1222 Griswold, under construction, opened May 15, 1910."
