Mounted sepia-toned photograph taken of five men situated around the counter of McLellan and Anderson Bank, located at 119 Griswold Street in the Moffat Building. George Jeynes of the firm of Jeynes and Son, sewer contractors, stands at the teller window in the foreground. George Anderson stands behind the counter. Andrew McLellan is the taller man standing in the rear, behind the counter.
A typewritten caption previously affixed to the recto of the board reads, "McLellan & Anderson's Bank in Moffat Building -- 1886. Mr. Anderson stands behind counter -- Mr. McLellan is tall gentleman in the rear." A handwritten note on the verso of the board reads, "McLellan & Anderson Bank in the Moffat Bld., about 1886. George Jeynes of the firm of Jeynes & Son Sewer Contractors stands at the window. Mr. Anderson stands behind the counter, Mr. McLellan is the tall gentleman in the rear. He died about 1938.
