Black and white photo of a parade of soldiers, clad in peaked caps and carrying rifles, south on Woodward Avenue as taken from slightly above street level, on the northwest corner of Woodward Avenue and Congress Street, facing southeast. On-lookers completely fill the streets, and are also perched on streetlight poles, roof tops, and awnings. Cunningham's Central Drug Store, the Avenue Billard Parlor, Boerth's Quick Lunch, the Empress Theatre, Pittsburgh Lunch, the Princess Theatre, Carron and Company, Ford's Restaurant, and the Hotel Oxford are visible along the east side of Woodward Avenue between Congress and Larned Streets. Avenue Burlesque, and Olympian Candy Works can be seen further south, between Larned and Jefferson Avenue.
