Print, Photographic

Sepia-toned photo of the cold air circulators installed above in a Radner Beef Company refrigerated storage room, taken from a photo album of air conditioning installations done by the Detroit Ice Machine Company in 1937. The equipment is installed at one end of a narrow brick room with cement floor. Below the coils and through the rafters, rows of hanging cow carcasses are visible. "28928, S&W," is printed near the lower right corner of the photo, corresponding to the description "Gebhardt Cold Air Circulators," on the table of contents page (2008.039.003). The photo is mounted on a linen photo album page with a flap on the left hand side with three holes for binding. A "Spence and Wyckoff, Commercial Photographers, Detroit," stamp is on the verso.
