Black and white photo of an Ahrens-Fox pumper, in profile, parked in front of a row of houses. A type-written caption affixed to the verso reads, "1920 Ahrens-Fox piston pumper. The unit went into service at Engine Co. No. 20 Baldwin & Gratiot Ave. replacing their steamer. The engine was Mfg. # 955 and department # 355. Was a model JM-3C & cost $10,915 and was one of three with 35 gallon chemical tanks. In 1940 leather windbreakers were installed along with Timken axles, four-wheel brakes and disc wheels. This unit along with the other two chemical tanks were sold for scrap in 1950."
