The photo was taken adjacent to the girders and bents that would become the exit ramp of westbound I-94 leading to southbound M-10, facing north. Dirt and rubble are below the overpass. Beyond the corner house on Fourth Street at the upper left, the Burroughs Building is visible. A sign reading "Cass Machinery" is posted on one of the buildings along Colburn Place.
