Two black and white photographs of Thomas Edward "Eddie" Tolan as an athlete at the University of Michigan. The first photograph shows Tolan, far right, winning a race against runners from five other universities. Spectators can be seen to the back right. Text on the bottom left of the photograph reads "J. The second photograph shows only Tolan, presumably during a practice run as he is wearing an unmarked uniform. A stamp on the verso reads "Reproduktionstratt T.H.
