Photograph. Sepia-toned photo showing a group of three workmen who are chatting while standing beside a railroad track line. The men are wearing overalls and hats. The photo might have been taken during a switchmen's strike in May, 1920, and was probably taken at a Michigan Central railroad yard near Detroit. Possibly, the man in the middle (with back turned) is Warren B. James who was a bridge inspector for the Michigan Central Railroad and who worked as a switchman during the strike.
