Caption reads: Pressing. The insulator blanks are formed by the isostatic pressing process developed by Champion in special presses designed and built by us. Hydraulic pressure, automatically applied to rubber molds filled with spray dried ceramic material, produces the semi-formed blanks from which the insulators are then shaped.
