Caption on verso reads, "In the foreground is the Bliss press. In the background is the Crossley pug with the vacuum pug attachment closely shown in the center of the picture. Directly beneath the vacuum pug from which a black is shown being extruded is the round pan containing alumina floated with air pressure from below into which the blanks drop as they are cut off with an electric eye."
