Print, Photographic

Black and white photographic print with a decorative border taken at the 1932 Beer Parade on Washington Boulevard between State Street and Grand River Avenue facing east. A truck with "Henry Huvaere Jr." painted on its door pulls a float south along Washington, as a crowd watches. A sign reading "Belgian American Business Men Assn." is hung along the side of the truck along with garlands. In the open truck bed above a man stands with one leg resting atop the sign behind a man sitting atop a barrel. A United States flag is flown from the back of the truck. The extends off the left edge of frame. It has a peaked roof, that's hung with curtains, and garlands are strung around its base. St. Aloysius Catholic Church is visible in the background. "May 14 1932," and "172," are stamped, and "Beer Parade," is handwritten on the verso.
