Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display which features children's footwear made by Keds, available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. An oversized tennis shoe is affixed to the rear of the display, and features signage with attached ribbons pointing toward the many features available on the shoes, which include, "Reinforced at all Points of Wear; Keds Will Wear and Wear and Wear; Strong Fabric Upper Rigidly Tested; New Scientifically Fitted Last; Full Breather Upper, No Rubber Cement; Pull Proof Eyelets; and Keds are Easily Washed." Pairs of shoes are displayed on fluted columns throughout the display. Two boy mannequins dressed in a baseball uniform and day-time wear, are visible on the left and right sides of the display, pointing toward the oversized shoe. Signage in the central foreground reads, "Champions All! Get in Line with a Pair of Genuine Keds, For Men and Boys, Keds Headquarters, 2nd Floor - Woodward; The J.L. Hudson Co." Hand-written on the verso, "Display Dept., J.L. Hudson Co., C.F. Wendel." Also, the photographer's name, phone number, and geographic location are stamped on the verso, "Ernest S. Barton Photographer, Temple 1-1244; Detroit."
