Print. Black and white photographic print of an interior display which features ladies lingerie available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. A female mannequin stands at the center of the display wearing a lace embellished satin slip; she is accessorized with a hat, handbag and gloves. Signage to the right of the mannequin features a circular dial with sizes for the bust and hip, the sign reads, "Miss Elaine Charm Circle, This is an enlargement of the 'Charm Circle,' used by our salespeople to accurately fit you." Also, a second sign visible on the left side of the display is affixed to a column and ornamented with ivy reads, "If You Wore Your Slip Outside… There is a Miss Elaine Precisional Slip to Fit Your Individual Measurements, Hudson's Basement Store." The photographic sequence number and the photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "22185-2x; Davis B. Hillmer." The date is hand-written on the verso, "1947."
