Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display featuring the newest ladies fashions available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. Three female mannequins are featured in the window display and each are dressed in differing styles of ladies fashions. Featured on the left mannequin is a plaid dress with an empire waist, pleated skirt, and Peter Pan collar. A ladies suit is featured on the central mannequin, and includes a flared tulip skirt, and coordinated short jacket with front button closure, as well as embellished collar and cuffs. The right mannequin is featured in a contrasting collar dress with a straight knee-length skirt, belted waist, and Peter Pan collar. Accessories complete the ladies' look, and including handbags, hats, gloves, and jewelry. Images of ladies dressed in the latest fashion are affixed to the rear of the display, and reads, "The Flared Look." Signage in the central foreground reads, "Find the news in dresses at Hudson's, Flare and Fanfare swinging new dresses with flaring skirts from the St. Clair Shop, move so easily and sit so gracefully, their flare stems from the great shapes of the season, Hudson's St. Clair Shop, Misses' Dresses, 6th Floor." Smaller neighboring signage reads, "Sheer Hosiery of Cantrece, Hudson's Fashion Hosiery, 1st Floor."
