Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display featuring ladies evening fashions available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. A single mannequin is featured in a calf-length narrow dress with a scoop neck, and cap sleeves, the dresses is printed with sewing essentials including scissors, thread, needles, and tape measurers. Ladies accessories also adorn the mannequin and include a hat with birdcage, gloves, jewelry, and footwear. Affixed to the rear of the display is an oversized cover of a 'Vogue' magazine, which features an etching of an eagle and reads, "VOGUE, 1953, Americana." Also, signage in the left foreground reads, "Hudson's and Vogue present 1953 Spring Fashion: America Chooses American Slenderness, exemplified in newly-narrow designs, Woodward Shops."
