Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display which features ladies outerwear available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. Two female mannequins are featured in knee-length town coats with fur trimmed collars. The two coats are similar in style however, the left coat features buttons at the natural waist, while the right coat features a series of buttons down the middle. Also featured on the mannequins are headwear, gloves, a handbag, and footwear. A New England winter scene is affixed to the rear of the display. Signage in the central foreground reads, "Advance Selling, Specially Priced Colorful Town Coats, With Becoming Fur Treatments, $72, Plus 10% Federal Tax, Misses Coats, Sixth Floor, Grand River." Also, signage displayed across the foreground of the window reads, "Buy U.S. War Savings Bonds, Immediate Delivery, WAR BONDS, 11th Floor, Woodward, Section D." The photographic sequence number, date, and photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "18854-3x; 7-17-43; Davis B. Hillmer."
