Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display featuring ladies daytime and evening wear available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. Seven female mannequins are displayed in the window, and each is adorned in varying types of clothing for differing activities. The far left mannequin is dressed in an evening gown, and the others are all adorned in sportswear for activities including golf, birding, tennis, and sunbathing. A large image of the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island is affixed to the rear of display; also affixed to the rear of the display are small banners with Greek letters noting a specific sorority. Signage in the left foreground reads, "Four Sororities Will Convene at Mackinac Island this Summer, Delta Delta Delta, June 17 - 22; Delta Gamma, June 23 - 28; Kappa Alpha Theta, June 29 - July 3, Delta Zeta, July 25 - 31." Also, signage in the central foreground of the window reads, "Hudson's Suggests - For Mackinac Island Vacations… A Typical Wardrobe to Fit Daytime and Evening Occasions, Casual Shop, Sixth Floor, Farmer; Evening Shop, Sixth Floor, Gratiot; Sports Accessories, Fifth Floor, Woodward and Grand River."
