Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display featuring men's wear available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. Three mannequin busts feature three differing styles of men's suit coats, dress shirts, and neckties; accompanying the suit coats are matching pants draped beneath the mannequins, as well as men's accessories which include shoes, hats, belts, cufflinks, walking cane, and cologne. A large outline drawing of a man is affixed to the rear of the display with signage which reads, "The Color is Charcoal." Also, signage in the left-central foreground reads, "Magic, Masculine Color, Charcoal Gray, Streamlined as a Jet Plane! Modern, polished look, sets the fashion face for '54, in true, neat-looking suits."
