Black and white photo of the entrance of a partially demolished house taken during the salvage efforts for the for the Detroit Historical Museum's Streets of Old Detroit exhibit. Wooden steps lead to an open doorway beneath a portico. The house's rear window and doorway in the surviving portions of its brick walls are visible through the front door. A stamped Detroit Historical Museum form is on the verso, filled in with the subject number 56, and the date, September 1950.
