Sepia-toned photograph showing a group of eighteen men who are standing or seated behind a small desk that is located in the corner of a furnished room/office. Three of the men who are standing are wearing U. S. Army uniforms with sergeant's stripes. One man seated on the left side of the desk is wearing an Army uniform that has a captain's insignia on the shoulders. All of the other men are wearing civilian dress suits. Handwritten text on the verso shows "First Group Reporting to Fort Wayne (WW II)" and "Chet [Chester J. Sypniewski (Selden)] in center with light coat."
