Sepia-toned photographic print of Helen Culin's Packard touring car being unloaded from a ferry in Alabama, dated February 20, 1928, presumably taken during the drive to Mexican undertaken by Helen Culin of Pennsylvania and Jean Schoen of New York. Two African American stand beside the car. A typewritten label on the verso reads, "And in 'A l a b a m' they call this a ferry." Additional handwritten marks on the verso read, "Miss Helen Culin trip, 1928" and "On Alabama Ferry, 2/20/28."
