One color photograph of an exhausted Detroit Fire Department fireman. He is seated on the running board of a fire truck and is smoking a cigar while taking a break from fighting fires. The city experienced many fires as a result of the riots in late July, 1967. A red ink stamp on the verso shows "D.F.D. [Detroit Fire Department] Photo, by Capt. J. A. Mancinelli."
