Print. Black and white photographic print of an interior display in the Fabric Department at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. A female mannequin stands on the right side of the display dressed in a belted dress, adorned in a hat and pumps. Signage affixed to the rear of the display features a Vogue Pattern Book, and reads, "As Seen In VOGUE PATTERN BOOK, Dropped - Shoulder Shirtwaist Dress, SOFTLY CURVING LINES." A sketch of the dress is visible at the foot of the mannequin. A bolt of fabric is draped on the left side of the display. Several bolts of fabric are visible throughout the department in the background. The company name, and photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "The J.L. Hudson Company; Photography by Davis B. Hillmer." The date is hand-written on the verso, "March 24, 1950."
